We stayed at the Tsix5 Phenomenal Hotel, a 5-star hotel that was really great in terms of comfort and design. It’s a bit far from Walking Street and Beach Road, but you can easily hop on a songthaew (shared taxi truck), so it’s still super convenient.
First Day: No Plans, Just Vibes
We didn’t plan anything on the first day—just wandered around to get the feel of the city. For dinner, we ended up at the night market near Beach Road. These days, it seems every market has grilled crocodile meat! We ordered a portion out of curiosity—it actually tastes like chicken. After that, we took a walk along the beach road and called it a night.
🌞 One Full Day in Pattaya: Palm Beach, Night Market & NYE Fireworks!
Morning: Chill Walk to Palm Beach
After breakfast at the hotel, we decided to walk to the beach instead of taking a ride. The morning air was fresh and peaceful, and the views were stunning.
Palm Beach is a quieter and cleaner part of Pattaya’s shoreline. Soft sand, swaying coconut trees, and beach chairs made it a perfect spot to chill and snap some gorgeous photos. The best surprise? You can actually spot the Sanctuary of Truth from the beach—its giant all-wood temple silhouette looks like something out of a fantasy movie.
Sunset Magic
As the sun started to set, we just sat there watching the sky turn golden-orange over the sea. It was quiet, romantic, and peaceful.
Night: Terminal 21 Night Market + Countdown Party 🎆
We hopped on a songthaew to Terminal 21, where there’s a fun night market outside the mall. Food, clothes, souvenirs—you name it. Live music, good vibes, and delicious Thai snacks made the night even better.
And then—it hit midnight! 🎉 We celebrated New Year’s Eve right outside Terminal 21, with a full fireworks show lighting up the sky. It was honestly one of the most memorable countdowns I’ve ever had.
🛥️ Island Day Trip: Ocean Breeze, Snorkeling, & Dancing at Sea
Today we booked a day trip out to sea, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions!
The tour van picked us up from the hotel and brought us to Ocean Marina Resort. From there, we boarded a comfy boat with shaded seats, open decks, and… music! 🎶
There were drinks, snacks, and fruit available anytime. The boat crew even organized dancing and games—it was like a floating party.
We visited beautiful islands with clear water and white sand, had a buffet lunch on the boat, and spent the afternoon snorkeling, sunbathing, or even trying jet skis (for an extra fee). The vibe? Just fun, relaxing, and full of sea breeze.
After the boat returned, we cleaned up and took another trip to Terminal 21’s Pier 21 food court—super clean, cheap, and tasty. Totally worth it!
🏖️ A Lazy Day by the Beach + Epic Street Food Dinner Under a Plane
Not every travel day needs to be packed with sightseeing. Today was one of those “just chill” kind of days.
We lounged at Palm Beach all morning and afternoon, listening to music, watching the waves, and enjoying the breeze. It was peaceful and perfect.
At night, we took a ride to Walking Street, Pattaya’s most famous nightlife area. Even if you don’t party, the energy here is wild—neon lights, live music, street performers, and tourists from all over.
For dinner, we tried something different—Runway Street Food, where you can eat under a massive old airplane parked right in the middle of the plaza. We had some grilled skewers, fried rice, and coconut ice cream under the wing of a plane. Fun and delicious!
☀️ Water Park, Coffee on a Plane & Giant Volcano Ribs!
This day was super full and fun!
First stop: Columbia Pictures Aquaverse, a movie-themed water park. We had a blast going down slides, riding wave pools, and floating along lazy rivers. The park was clean, fun, and great for all ages.
Next, we headed to Coffee War, a café built inside a real airplane. We sat in the aircraft cabin sipping lattes and eating cake. It’s quirky and chill—definitely worth a visit.
Dinner? Thepprasit Night Market, where we hunted down the legendary Volcano Ribs—a giant mountain of tender meat, rich sauce, and serious flavor. So good! We ended the night with a street-side Thai massage. Pure bliss.
😴 Lazy Day with a Twist: Volcano Rib Craving Denied!
We started this day slow—slept in, took our time, and explored Soi Buakhao, a busy local street full of bars and expats. It’s a bit like a smaller, more local version of Walking Street.
That evening, we wanted to finally eat dinner at the Pattaya Tower restaurant with a city view—but we were too late again! Instead, we found ourselves at the Russian Night Market, full of interesting stalls and snacks.
Still craving those ribs, we rushed back to Thepprasit Market—but our beloved rib stall was CLOSED! 😭 We settled for some tasty Pad Thai and dessert to lift our spirits.
💸 The Most Expensive Day Yet – But Worth Every Baht!
Today was wild—from eating on top of Pattaya Tower to riding a slow zipline off the building (yes, it was included in the lunch package!). It wasn’t fast or scary, but it was high up—and as you slowly glide down, a photographer is snapping pics of you non-stop, hoping you’ll buy one for 200-300 baht. I passed, but it was funny.
Then we headed to the Floating Café—my second time here, and just as chill as I remembered. For 500 baht, you get a boat ride and a drink. You can fish too… but just like last time, I caught absolutely nothing 😅.
After a relaxing time at sea, we took a speedboat back to Pattaya under the stars. The breeze, the boat ride, the lights from the city—it felt like a movie.
Wrapped up the day with a songthaew ride back to the hotel. Tomorrow? Off to Koh Samet for the next adventure!
