Today, I chose one of the four island-hopping routes in Semporna, specifically the Mabul and Kapalai route. We gathered at 9 in the morning and took a speedboat, arriving at the first destination, Mabul Resort in just 45 minutes. Admission tickets are required to board Mabul Resort, standard ticket RM50 and children RM30, and the only activity available here is photography.

Lover Bridge
Lover Bridge is a special type of bridge that typically appears in parks, gardens, and various locations worldwide, considered popular spots for couples to visit and commemorate their love. These bridges serve as a place for couples to spend quality time together, enjoying the natural surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and the beauty of lighting and architecture. Couples often take the opportunity to write their names on the bridge or attach a padlock to the railings, symbolizing their enduring love. This tradition originated in the 19th century in the city of Vrato, Finland, and has since spread globally, turning numerous bridges into symbols of love and romance.
Mabul Island is home to many Bajau people, and their primary source of income is free diving to the seabed to catch fish with their bare hands. They then attempt to sell these fish to the tourists at Mabul Resort.

After lunch, we went snorkeling near Mabul Island for about 30 minutes before moving on to the next snorkeling point, Kapalai. As Kapalai is a private resort, outsiders are not allowed to visit the island itself. However, snorkeling is permitted in the waters near Kapalai. After finishing our snorkeling session, we took a speedboat back to Semporna town.
