Nestled on the northern shores of Pom Pom Island, Mussah Poteh Resort stands as a haven of luxury, accessible via a scenic 45-minute boat ride from Semporna.
Pom Pom Island, named after the prolific Pom Pom trees that grace its landscapes, is renowned for its natural beauty. Beyond its picturesque views, this island boasts some of the world’s most captivating diving locations.
The name “Mussah Poteh” traces its origins to the Bajau language, spoken by the Malay ethnic group. In Malay, it translates to “Mutiara Putih,” signifying a “White Pearl.” The resort is surrounded by pristine waters and silver-sand beaches, making it an idyllic sanctuary for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts.
Our well-appointed rooms offer comfort and relaxation, each featuring two queen-size beds and a private en-suite bathroom. To elevate your experience, the resort provides an array of amenities. You can take a refreshing dip in the inviting swimming pool, rejuvenate at the on-site spa with indulgent treatments, and enjoy cocktails at the sunset bar while witnessing the mesmerizing spectacle of the setting sun.
Tourists can board a boat at the Semporna Tourist Jetty, and in about 45 minutes, they’ll arrive at Mussah Poteh Resort, which has its own private jetty. You’ll notice a 5-star dive center, and you can reach the resort by walking over a bridge. The accommodations here are exquisite, featuring a restaurant, a bar on the second floor, a spa on the ground level, and a swimming pool out front.

The buffet offers a wide variety of options, including surprising treats like Indian dosa (Roti Canai), and the food is quite delicious. After lunch, you can take a stroll on the beach, take photos, and even go for a swim in the sea.

Wrapping up my trip at Mussah Poteh Resort, then can take a boat back to Semporna. If you enjoyed this article, please consider liking and sharing it. Thank you!
